Desired Future Character</h4> <ul> <li>Development, use, and conservation in the R-2 should be located and designed to respect property rights while substantially protecting wildlife habitat, habitat connectivity, and scenery.</li> <li>The aim is to preserve the historic western character of the community by supporting the continuation of agriculture.</li> <li>Existing property rights define the maximum density of the R-2 and clustering of development and combination of lots is encouraged.</li> <li>Preferred uses are residential and/or agricultural, but institutional uses with a rural character that require a large site may be compatible.</li> </ul>
